Bibbulmun Track The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world’s great long distance walk trails, stretching nearly 1000kms from Kalamunda in the Perth Hills to Albany. The track traverses the Geographe region, travelling through Collie, the Preston Valley (Glen Mervyn), Balingup, and some of the region’s most beautiful backcountry. It’s very much a DIY holiday. Use of the trail is free with shelter huts along the way. They’re equipped with composting toilets but you need to carry your food and sleeping bag. Bring a Sat phone too, as sadly internet connections are patchy at best. Alternatively, we recommend staying at one of the luxurious accommodation options located just off the track! During summer, take the Collie to Balingup section that passes past Glen Mervyn Dam. It’s a great place to cool off or just watch the sunlight reflect off the ripples. Not up for a big trek. We suggest taking a walk in one of our many National Parks and State Forests. Start: Perth but accessible from Collie and Balingup Length: 1,000 km total but ideal for day or overnight walks Surface: Varied Images: Life of Py Contact Visit Website Get Directions Media Trade Business Events Corporate Contact Us
