Diving & Snorkelling If you prefer to be under the water than above you won’t be disappointed in BunGeo. The Lena Dive Wreck, situated 3 kilometres off the coast of Bunbury’s Back Beach, is home to a fascinating variety of marine life. The Lena was apprehended by the Australian Navy in 2002 while illegally fishing for Patagonian Toothfish. The boat was subsequently sunk offshore. The dive wreck sits in 18metres of water. She makes a unique dive, with massive swim throughs and an open engine room, with motors still in sight. The Lena is home to some stunning coral and divers have recorded more than 100 species of marine life. If you have your PADI put this tour on your bucket list! A number of operators conduct diving tours of the wreck including Octopus Garden Dive Charters. Or grab your snorkel and goggles and check out the reef and basalt rock formation closer to shore in the BunGeo, including Leschenault Peninsula near Australind, Wyalup-Rocky Point and Hungry Hollow in Bunbury, and off Binningup Beach.
