There are trails across the region, but the Collie River Valley is mad about MTB, and is quickly becoming a destination hot spot. BunburyThis is a good place to start your MTB adventure; the Bunbury area serves as a base for the South West Mountain Bike Club and its the perfect place to pick up all your equipment needs. Start at Melo Velo Bike Shop & Cafe with a great workshop, bike hire (when only the best will do), spin room and some of the best coffee in the region. Next head to MAD Cycles. Melo Velo Collie River & Ferguson ValleysBunGeo’s Mecca of MTB, where you’ll find more than 25 awesome trails to pump. Don’t have gear? Hire a bike from the Kiosk at the Dam in the Wellington National Park and tackle the nearby Mount Lennard Tracks or pick up a bike at CranknCycles in Collie where the guys know everything there is about bikes and the trails around Collie. After some door-to-door (campsite service), then contact the crew at TraaVerse who will deliver your bikes and other equipment to you. Donnybrook-Balingup RegionA little further south in Lowden, MTB guru Cycletrek will hire you a bike to tackle their trails through beautiful Jarrah forest. With stunning views across the Preston Valley, their private 9km cross-country MTB single-track loop is available for riders to experience. Cycletrek is also only of the few places in Australia offering a handcycle course! Stay the night in their Kambarang Eco Chalet. True fanatics should spend a day at WA’s premier, private MTB gravity park, Linga Longa near Balingup. Designed with assistance from Enduro World Series Champion Sam Hill, its awesome facilities are loved by those in the know and it plays host to the WA Gravity Enduro State Championships. Munda Biddi TrailBeat the Biddi! One of Australia’s most challenging rides, the Munda Biddi MTB trail is a world-class nature-based off-road cycling experience. Spanning 1000kms across southern Western Australia from Mundaring and Albany. Two massive sections of the trail travel through the middle of the BunGeo, and it’s accessible from the towns of Collie, Boyanup, and Donnybrook.
