The Upsider: 48 hours in Bunbury & Ferguson Valley

Australia’s newest premium lifestyle website The Upsider is the place to go for the best in Australian travel, style and design. So, we were super-excited when The Upsider journalist Monique Ceccato visited to uncover how to spend 48 hours in Bunbury and the Ferguson Valley.

“Despite being Western Australia’s second biggest city, Bunbury is still considered a hidden gem. Just two hours south of Perth and an hour north of Margaret River, the city is often bypassed by visitors as they make their way down the coast.

But with delectable produce, thrilling nature adventures, and a burgeoning arts scene, Bunbury is most certainly worth a stop. In fact, it’s worth spending a solid 48 hours.”

Monique swam with dolphins at the Dolphin Discovery Centre, devoured fabulous food at the Market Eating House, The Townhouse, and Cafe 140 .

She headed to the hills in an awesome Mustang with Pop a Cork Tours to sip wine and devour more food in the stunning Ferguson Valley, before spending the night at the serene, adults-only retreat Peppermint Lane Lodge.

The following morning, a therapeutic walk in the crisp country air through the Wellington Discovery Forest was the perfect way to kick-start the day.

Finally, Monique finished her wind-whirl 48 hours finding Bunbury’s mind-blowing public and street art trail. And, of course, no trip would be complete without a few souvenirs of the wine variety at Mojo’s Kitchen, Bar & Bottleshop while simultaneously savouring Shark Bay scallops and confit salmon. .
