TERMS & CONDITIONS / HOUSE KEEPING RULES:
In November 2018, the city started a trial of free overnight rest areas to attract visitors with fully self-contained vehicles to our city. In order for that trial to be successful, there are a few housekeeping rules we need you to follow:
WYALUP ROCKY POINT:
If you choose to camp at Wyalup-Rocky Point, please park in the roadside bays only. A maximum of four vehicles are permitted to stay here at any one time.
OCEAN DRIVE (BASKETBALL COURTS)
If you choose to camp at Ocean Drive (basketball courts), please park in the designated area only. Ensure you leave room for other vehicles to park and try to take up as little room as possible. Our residents like to park here during the day too when enjoying the beach. A maximum of seven overnight users are permitted here.
Permit holders are unable to obtain another permit within a 28-day period.
Other things to consider when using our rest areas:
Your vehicle MUST have a fully plumbed toilet and sink. You cannot catch this water with a bucket to dump your grey or black water outside of your vehicle. This includes the car park, bushes, grass, drains, nearby toilets or sinks, anywhere outside of your vehicle.
Please do not set out your tables, chairs, awnings, solar panels or washing anywhere that obstructs a footpath or takes up additional parking bays. This is for the enjoyment and safety of our residents and visitors alike.
We love that people choose to travel with their pets, however, please ensure they are always kept on a leash while in the rest areas. It is for their safety as much as for others. Don’t forget to pick up after them.
Please use our ablution facilities for their intended purpose and not for washing your clothes or dishes. You should already have these facilities on board.
