Small but impressive, this is an art gallery that kicks beyond its weight. The Collie Art Gallery opened in 2015 and was the first fit-for-purpose A-class gallery to be built in Western Australia since the Art Gallery of WA was opened in 1979.
Through a passionate team and local support, it showcases a diverse and impressive exhibition program – think Arthur Boyd, the Janet Holmes a Court collection, and the Life Story of Ann Frank.
It also provides regional Australia’s richest art prize – The Collie Art Prize (CAP) – a cool $50K is on offer for talented artists.
There is ample parking and a tour coach stop nearby. The Gallery has great disability access throughout the gallery and surrounds.
Opening hours are 10am – 4pm, Thursday to Monday. Other times by appointment.
